Poetic Bloomings
Think of your lives in three separate chapters. Title these chapters. Then choose one of these as the inspiration for your poem. Write your chapter in verse!
Chapter One: Kicking and Screaming
Chapter Two: Learning How to Not Rock the Boat
Chapter Three: Asking All the Big Questions Again
I never did find out why we’re here. But I look back and see what I did and am pleased with what’s left behind. I’ve had my eyes opened to a lot of things that I thought were true, but aren’t, and found the earth is still firm under my feet. I’ve asked so many questions of and about God and haven’t gotten definite answers. I guess we live by faith or lump it. But it seems to be human nature to ask questions, and well, I guess it means we are thinking. Is it all chaos or is there a long-term plan? Sounds kind of like insurance. Well, I sure hope it pays off in the end.
Sun rising daily
moon watches over the night
there are guarantees.
I enjoyed this. A lot of us could fit our lives into those three chapter titles. 🙂
